  1. Baloue. 2. Elagie.

Originally written for the cellist Robert Irvine, Baloue is the Scots word for a lullaby and this version was made for the violinist Fenella Humphreys. Elagie is similarly drawn from the Scottish language although the French influence in the word is particularly pertinent since this little piece is a tribute to an old French friend of the composer. It was commissioned by the Autumn in Malvern Festival for Fenella Humphreys who gave the first performance of both pieces in Great Malvern Priory in October 2016.
