These 3 short pieces can be played individually or as a set. The first was written in a moment of exasperation at the failings of a couple of piano pupils to master Beethoven's Fur Elise and the first movement of Mozart's Sonata in C major, whilst outside the visiting cuckoo seemed relentless with its spring call. The Waltz is simply a wistful little piece while the Reel has a little fun with the rhythmic drive of a Scottish dance.
